Compared to modern silicon chips, their devices will be as advanced as silicon chips are to wooden cogs and mill wheels.
And how did some of the worlds best brains (including some of the best computing brains) come to use us? "In our experience a highly capable post-doc (scientist) would be able to set up most open source content management systems in something between a few hours and a few days; however, to set up the same systems to have a fully professional look and run smoothly and stably without problems might take the same individual several months."
Oxford University's Bionanotechnology is a world-leading Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration (IRC) aimed at bringing together the brightest and best scientists in the world to investigate the possibility of building a whole new class of devices, not just of a similar size to the wavelength of light like modern micro-components (like computer chips), but thousands of times smaller and millions of times faster by using individual atoms as building blocks. Oxford University boasts 47 Nobel Prize winners and we sincerely hope that the Bionanotechnology Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration (IRC) generates a few more. |
