 Many schools struggle with both the school web site and having the underlying technology supported by overworked staff or ad hoc volunteers with varying levels of commitment. Shenley Brook End took a more professional approach with a professionally-designed web site and proper staff training to update it.
Shenley Brook End School is a modern school serving the western region of Milton Keynes. The school opened in September 1997 with a small student body of only 120 year eight pupils. Since then the school has grown each year. The target capacity is 1200. Shenley Brook End School has the aim to "Improve the quality of Teaching and Learning," [2]. To achieve their aim, Shenley seeks to be an aspiring school by working hard, providing appropriate curriculum and encouraging high expectations. The school also aims to be a "sharing" school and a "caring" school.
The Web Site is an earlier version of the current National Web Design PowerWeb system although it is still based around the Joomla/Mambo family. |
