3. How good do you need to be? Typically we select staff in the top 1% of ability or performance group. This is not purely on academic performance but it's worth nothing that recently undergraduate degrees give the top 10% of students First Class Degrees so we are generally looking for the best of those. Be very clear about this - we are not just saying this to impress or boast - this is the threshold of competence needed to train effectively serve our clients in a manner that we require. Needless to say - almost all the wannabes on the UK series of "The Apprentice" -  would fail in terms of too much hype, poor organization, poor business sense and inablity to learn. We may be more polite and kind than Alan Sugar, but we have less tolerance for incompetents than he has.
