The National Web Design Recruitment Process typically comprises Having a Telephone Interview with National Web Design- We at National Web Design are looking for the very best candidates who can make a very positive impression on our clients as well as any team members working with them or reporting to them. The Telephone interview is a pre-screening process and has no fixed structure and questions. Progress will depend on your CV and your reactions and responses through the interview process. For roles which are both managerial and client facing we will be looking at both explicit and implicit, verbal and non-verbal responses. It is in the nature of our work that the telephone is often the first point of contact and if not exceptional will be the last point too with many customers.
- Remember to start off (and continue) professionally. Even if you are at home show us how good you will be at work on the phone. You'll need to think quickly and be resourceful. Typically an interview might start with you being asked to tell us about yourself. Keep it brief and without hype. You'll need to think quickly and on-the-fly. You may be asked to tell us about your strengths. And weaknesses. Don't worry if we go onto other things quickly at any time.
- You might be asked why you choose to interview with National Web Design and what you know about us. We'd expect that you have read the web site. We appreciate that it is under development and you can mail us suggestions. Tell us how we compare with other employers for you.
- We might ask why National Web Design should hire you? Remember we are competing - and aiming to dominate - a highly competitive market and generally hiring from the top 1% of candidates. Are you a perfectionist? Can you work on a team? Can you work from a set of instructions or operations manual? How about independently. These are by no means mutually exclusive - typically people who baulk at following rules or manuals can't work independently either. Remember, throughout the process we expect complete, 100% honesty at National Web Design - its an essential part of the company ethos. That doesn't mean bluntness, or not putting your case across in the best possible light.
- We are looking at long term development with the best candidates growing as the company grows rapidly. We might ask you to tell us where you want to be in 5 years? 10 years? What would keep you in a job at that stage - what are your ideal targets? We can understand how well you fit with the plans for the position from this, but it is a place for us to learn from you.
Ask yourself: Have I made myself properly informed? Am I compensating for the reduced nonverbal communication? Are my answers brief and focused?
Providing Job References for National Web Design
After the Telephone Interview we will ask the recruiter for three referees who we will contact by phone. One should be you current employer or educator if possible (please say why if not). It will be your responsibility to make sure that you contact them to make sure that they are willing. We normally work by using the institutional address of the referee to confirm that the referee is actually at the institution claimed. If the Telephone Interview and References give a suitable outcome we will then progress to a face-to-face Interview.
