IT & Design Professional Accreditation for Offshore Teams PDF Print E-mail

Four National Web Design certifications determine the annual increment of the salary scale based on quality, self management, client relations and turnaround time.

The annual increment for a good, highly competent worker is therefore 24% per annum with the highest fliers getting 42% per annum. Great workers are highly valued here. The package includes Private Healthcare Insurance for each worker and a higher Education fund for each worker (particularly education through the British "Open University")

1. Quality Certification:  Average increase 6% pa. Maximum Increase 12% pa + 12% bonus.
This certification is based on client and programme manager client quality feedback.
ImagePoor - Errors requiring programme manager intervention occur frequently (over 50% of projects) in delivered work. Remove coder immediately.
ImageWeak - Errors requiring programme manager intervention occur often (over 10% of projects) in delivered work. Errors sometimes occur in clients live projects in the first year of work or more than once every 12 months).

3. Communication Certification:  Average increase 6% pa. Maximum Increase 12% pa
Communication & International or 'Accentless' English
Web Design Grading ScalePoor - Cannot communicate with UK clients effectively. Due to diversification of the English language this may be the case more often than generally anticipated. This standard is often found in Indian based call centres and has created a negative reaction with clients. No bonuses or increments possible this month.
Web Design Grading ScaleWeak - Can communicate with UK clients effectively but there are confusions and clients find a slight barrier to free communication. Reassess every 26 weeks.
Web Design Grading ScaleMediocre - Acceptable but needs improving. Can talk to clients in the UK without problems but they are always aware that they are talking to someone offshore. A good India graduate familiar with Western TV and Radio and possibly with UK or US work experience would typically reach this standard. Unfortunately this puts our service offering head to head with about 100 million other Indian IT professionals competing on cost. We aim to do much better.
Web Design Grading ScaleAcceptable - Flexible colloquial grasp of equal to a native speaker brought up in the UK. For business purposes and positioning the aim is an equivalent standard to the older Received Pronunciation standard in the UK ("BBC English"). Generally we would expect our Goans to reach this level after 12 months with us by watching Classic British Television (including the British Open University) and British English News, talking to our clients on a day-to-day basis. Many English born British Citizens do not speak at this level but their linguistic skills would also fall below an acceptable level for National Web Design. The issue is outlined here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_English#Many_Englishes
Add 60 points to promotion pool for every year at this level.
Web Design Grading ScaleExcellent - Suitable to work seamlesslessly with senior management in FTSE and Fortune 100 firms. Top International Standard Equal to Managers in Silicon Valley or UK 'City' firms. Gives an excellent impression. First class level of mixablity and social skills. Generally with same Communication & International or 'Accentless' English skills as an ITT graduate with 5 years experience in Silicon Valley  or UK 'City' firms.  Add 120 points to promotion pool for every year working at this level.
